AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli military continues its drone and artillery bombardment of the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis as hunger and medical shortages endanger the lives of civilians, particularly the elderly and children.
Human rights organizations reported that 14 elderly Palestinians died last week due to starvation, malnutrition, and lack of medical care caused by the ongoing blockade. Since March 2, when Israel imposed a total aid ban, Palestinians have suffered from severe food and medical shortages, according to Al Jazeera.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor warned that elderly and children in Gaza are dying gradually due to Israel’s restrictions. Meanwhile, local Palestinian sources reported that Israeli drone strikes targeted tents sheltering displaced families in Khan Younis, killing four civilians—including two children—and injuring five others.
As of March 18, 2025, the death toll in Gaza has reached 2,710, with 7,432 wounded. The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that, since October 7, 2023, a total of 52,810 Palestinians have been killed, with 119,473 injured.
